How long have you been in business?
Inarc Studio started in Chicago back in 1998 with a apartment redesign/ renovation. At that time I was just finishing up my degree in Interior Architecture at The School at the Art Institute of Chicago. IA-S is now getting restarted here in ATL after my 4 years with a top hotel design firm here in Atlanta.
What is your primary product or service?
The primary service is interior architecture and everything that entails.... Cabinetry and furniture design, Kitchen/ Bathroom design, Custom millwork design, Space planning/ Furniture placement, Construction drawings, Design development, Schematic design, Finish material selection & specification, Computer rendering, Project management, Furniture selection and specification, Artwork selection and specification
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In Chicago I was a real estate broker for ten years before becoming an interior architect and during that time I would buy homes, redesign them, contract the work and resell them. It was then that I realized that it was the really the creativity of make something ugly beautiful that was my passion.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
IA-S differentiates itself from other company's by its concentration on interior architecture, which concerns itself with the space as well as the furniture placement. In addition, we have a design philosophy of: simple, textured & detailed which is integrated with each clients wants and needs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
IA-S's main market is Intown Atlanta while also working in the Chicago area. It is our vision to expand into a design/ build type of firm that purchases buildings (adaptive reuse + high-end residential)a redesigns them and puts them back on the market. In terms of size of the firm... I would hope to stay small and keep it more of an artistic endeavor.

Because I have had to start all over again 4 years ago here in ATL, I own and run the company myself. I envision this fact changing very soon!
