How long have you been in business?
In January of 2000, a partnership was formed called SafeWatch Security Services. SafeWatch was primarily a security service and contracting company.
In January of 2009 Atlanta Digital Homes was formed and SafeWatch Security was rolled into the new company. We feel that Atlanta Digital Homes better reflects the idea of home technology and services we now provide.
What is your primary product or service?
We get this question a lot. I usually answer by saying "Everything but electrical work." However, that's not necessarily true, seeing as how we also do lighting controls. So my new answer is "Everything electronic - home theater, home automation, home security, access control, networking, camera systems, HVAC controls, etc. etc." The list goes on.
Our primary focus is Home Automation and Integration services, however.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Growing up I was always interested in electronics and audio/video systems, from a very early age. As a teenager I also started building and configuring computer systems, and even networks. After high school, I attended Tech School for a year working towards an Electromechanical Engineering degree. As it turns out, it's almost as hard to get that degree as it is to say it.
I moved into the theft prevention and armed security industry for a few years before finding my place in home technology (around 1998.) I knew I had found my calling.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
In several ways, the main one being fast, friendly service. We enjoy working with all of our clients. We like to think of ourselves as part of the family.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
For now, just one. As much as I would like to say we will be expanding, I don't see huge expansion in our future. I feel that our service and prices are a direct result of our low overhead and small size. I have no plans to change either our service or pricing any time soon.

All major metro Atlanta ares. We also travel worldwide on various projects.

What are your hours of operation?
From start to finish - and later if necessary. But we try to keep our weekends free for family.
