How long have you been in business?
Ascension by Elyse Spa and Training Institute has been proudly serving our community for 2 years. We opened our doors in 2022 and have since grown into a trusted name in spa services and professional training
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary offerings include a wide range of luxurious spa services such as massages, facials, body treatments, weight-management programs and wellness therapies. Additionally, we provide comprehensive training programs for aspiring spa professionals, including courses in esthetics, body services, and spa management.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As the owner, my passion for wellness and beauty began at a young age. I pursued formal education in esthetics and gained extensive experience in brow shading and other holistic beauty trainings. This journey ignited my desire to create a sanctuary where clients could experience top-notch spa services while also offering a platform for aspiring professionals to receive the best training in the industry.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We differentiate ourselves through our commitment to excellence and holistic wellness. Our spa services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring a personalized and rejuvenating experience. Our training institute is renowned for its rigorous curriculum and mentorship hands-on approach, preparing students to excel in the competitive spa industry. Additionally, our focus on continuous innovation and the use of high-quality, natural products sets us apart.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently, we are located in South Atlanta. We are actively exploring opportunities to expand our brand and bring our exceptional services and training programs to more communities. Plans for additional locations are underway, with the goal of launching our next location within the next two years.

Ascension by Elyse Spa and Training Institute is conveniently located at 186 Norh Ave Ste 104 Jonesboro Ga 30236. From downtown Joneboro, head north on Main Street, then turn right onto Wellness Avenue. Our building is situated on the right side, just past the intersection with Serenity Road. Ample parking is available for our clients.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods including all major credit and debit cards, and mobile payment options such as Apple Pay and Google Wallet. We also offer gift cards for purchase. We are a cashless business.
Which areas do you service?
We primarily serve the South Atlanta area and its surrounding suburbs. Our training programs attract students from across the state and even nationwide, thanks to our excellent reputation in the spa industry.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Ascension by Elyse is owned by Elyse Whisby, who also oversees daily operations. Elyse is supported by a dedicated team of skilled professionals, including spa therapists, estheticians, and administrative staff, all committed to providing an exceptional client experience.
What are your hours of operation?
Our spa operates Tuesday through Friday from 10AM to 6 PM, Saturday and Sundays (private spa parties welcome only). Appointments are strictly required for services. Our training institute follows a separate schedule

What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
One of our favorite quotes that encapsulates our philosophy is, "Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live." This quote emphasizes the importance of self-care and wellness, which are at the core of our services and training programs. Another inspirational verse that we hold dear is Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." This verse reminds us of the positivity and hope that we aim to instill in our clients and students every day.
